Up till this time, I had not experienced any healing via video call (or any kind of call for that matter), but I just knew I was not going to pass up the opportunity by prescribing the expected drugs - unless, of course, for some reason, the healing didn't happen.
It wasn't a very long call. At my mum's prompting, he identified the exact location and duration of the pain (it had been there for three days). I told him he could have the pain gone immediately without any drugs and that, if necessary, I would prescribe drugs for him.
Having reached an understanding, at my prompting, he put his right hand there and I said, "in the name of Jesus, pain be gone now". At least that was the gist of the things I remember saying. I then told him to lift his hands and say, "thank You Jesus, no more pain!"
"Now, check it, see if you can move it without pain", I prompted him. Two or three times, he did this. Two or three times, I spoke those words over his shoulder. Each time, the pain reduced compared to before. Poor reception stopped us from continuing the video call; but I put a voice call through to my mum and told her that she should let me know if he woke up with the pain the next morning; so I could text her a prescription. Afterall, it was me putting my faith in God's Word to work. They didn't reach out to me for that. No need to stretch/stress him because of my exercise of faith, you know?
The next morning, I heard nothing (I didn't call too). Two more days passed and my wife and I decided to pay my parents a Sunday afternoon visit (they live about an hour away). When I saw the boy, what do you think the first thing I asked him was? You guessed right! "How's your shoulder?" His testimony was that he woke up completely pain-free the very next morning after the video call. Halleluyah to Jesus!
That really boosted my faith for the next two healing miracles. I'll tell you about them in part 2 (and 3 if necessary). It appears these testimonies can get really long when put in writing.
I have written this report that you, the new (kainos) creation in Christ, may be reminded of the possibilities and realities that are presently yours; and that, remembering, you may be stirred to walk in them.
